Cameron, Pizza and I moved into a new apartment this last week. We were lucky to find something close to Cameron's school, bigger than our last place, has separate rooms (we were in a studio before), and at a cheaper price. We're still living out of boxes pretty much and sadly I don't feel motivated to unpack. Our first place together I was so antsy to get unpacked and decorate. This time around, not so much. Kinda hoping some fairy will show up and do it for me. Pizza seems to like it here, especially the balcony. Cameron starts school soon, his sister Lauren gets married soon and we get to go to California soon. Lots to look forward to!

It was nice to see a group of sailboats out on the lake today, it reminded me so much of sailing trips with my family in California. The sun took forever to go down and we both got hungry so we left before the sunset, but even then the sun was so red from a huge fire nearby. The Lake was smelly and not so "Great" but it was still nice to get out of the house and be with Cameron.

My Mom came to visit this last week and I couldn't be more grateful. The hardest part of living in Salt Lake City is being so far from family. But the week was spent perfect- seeing pretty places, ziplining, s'mores, temple visits, late nights, shopping, eating good food and being together.

Thanks for visiting mom, I needed it. Love you.

Things got crazy busy for a while there, so let me catch you up on our life since I last posted:

I cut my hair.

We got another kitten. His name is Sampson. I am in love with him. Now I've got three boys-- Cameron, Pizza and Sampson. So at least if I have girl human kids one day, I have my two sons that I always wanted.

We went on some horribly long and hard hikes.

I cut my hair even shorter.

I passed my cosmetology licensing tests for Utah.

My brother's family came to visit and Kyle turned one.

We went indoor rock climbing.

We went golfing.

I started a little business selling secondhand and handmade things.

We went to Antelope Island with friends, Brenna & Lynden.

My brother got a cat.

We went camping with friends, Brandon and Joe.

Today we took a nice long hike up Memory Park and then ran back. It was right by the Capitol building which did get me thinking about the country we live in and the freedoms we have. I feel so lucky and blessed to be here and to be safe. My heart is thankful to all those who fight for this luxury and all those throughout history who have sacrificed for this comfort.

We also were able to go swimming at a friends. This really made it feel like summertime. I can't complain the weather is beautiful and I had the day off of work. Hope you are all having a nice Memorial Day as well.
